We share the results of the first survey on bike-sharing systems (BSS) in mainland Portugal.

The study is the result of an online survey conducted between February and April 2025 by the Collaborative Network for Active Mobility (RCMA), identifying the existence, discontinuity or planning of systems, characterising their size, operating models and main challenges.

This work systematises scattered information and paves the way for future updates and critical reflection on the role of PBS in active mobility in Portugal.
