Portugal remains the biggest bicycle producer in the EU
According to data published by Eurostat, in 2023 bicycle production in the European Union was down 24% on the previous year, totaling 9,7 million units.
Portugal, despite recording one of the biggest reductions between 2022 and 2023 (0,4 million fewer units), remains the EU’s biggest bicycle producer for the fourth year running, with 1,8 million units produced.
As in the previous year, Romania, Italy and Poland remaind among the main European produceds, with 1,5 million, 1,2 million and 0,8 million bicycle respectively.
